A Tough Trader
Tough Trade Fair six-year-old Night Trade bought up his seventh win when storming home to take the Construction Stakes (six furlongs) at Goodwood in England yesterday. (May 23)
Night Trade was held-up in last position but hit the front a furlong out under jockey Eddie Linehan and held on to score by a neck.
He has also been successful three times at Catterick and at Leicester, Wolverhampton and Ffos Las in a 60-start career that has also resulted in 18 minor placings.
Night Trade is from Compton Girl, by Compton Place.
His win came 24 hours after Trade Fair’s Ghost Trader, from Silentium, by Fimiston, won the Rovers Handicap (1300m) at Belmont Park. Ghost Trader has also won at Bunbury and Northam in a 15 start career.
Trade Fair, standing at Alwyn Park Stud, Serpentine, has sired 123 individual winners.
